A restaurant and lounge, Warehouse Cafe, after its success in Cannaught Place had opened up its doors a few months back in Gurgaon Sec 29 and has become a trending place amongst the youngsters here.
The name of the place is derived from the very theme of the entire restaurant i.e. warehouse. No stone has been left unturned to make it look like a warehouse. The exposed red bricks, dim lighting, wooden chandeliers on the ceiling, a roulette table along with the wooden flooring and chic leather furniture add to the rustic ambiance of this expansive restaurant that is spread across two floors.
Enter through the big metal door and you’ll observe the huge bar right in the center of the restaurant, that is sure to offer some great concoctions to binge on. The menu offers a variety of cuisines, from Thai, Continental, Chinese to Italian and Indian. There is something for everybody to choose from, thereby ensuring that no patron goes disappointed.
The menu is certainly very fascinating and is designed in the form of a calendar. With each date having a particular dish and each month representing a course. The dish specified on the day you visit earns you a 50% discount on that particular dish.
Enjoy the unusual bell pepper martini (Rs 455) from the cocktail section or take your pick from some interesting mocktails. Be it the sweet and spicy Chilli Flamenco (Rs 225), refreshing Basil Cucumber Lemonade (Rs 225) or unusual cinnamon flavoured Adams Apple (Rs 225), all drinks are going to keep you satisfied. The shakes too won’t leave you disappointed, be it the thick and chocolaty Chocolate n Hazelnut Shake(Rs 235) or simple Cold Coffee with Ice cream (Rs 225).
Pick delicious Drums of Heaven (Rs 415) or succulent Chicken Tikka (Rs 445) from the chicken appetisers section or the melt in the mouth Subz Seekh(Rs 375) or the Paneer achari Tikka (Rs 375) for an explosion of flavour, from the veg appetisers section. The Hara Bhara Kebab (Rs 375) and Dahi Kebab (Rs 385) are also worth a shot. On the other hand, the tad bit oily Crispy Fried Prawns (Rs 615) and the over spiced Tandoori Mahi Tikka(Rs 575) can be skipped.
Ending your meal on a sweet note can be satisfied with the Fried Ice Cream (Rs 225) that has a crisp layer of breadcrumbs outside and the melting vanilla ice cream inside. While if you enjoy over sweet desserts, then the deep fried Pineapple Spring Roll(Rs 225) can solve your purpose. And if you have an adventurous palate, then you may pick the Phirni and Blueberry cheesecake (Rs 225) and regret of having ordered it.
Overall, this restaurant with the feel of a warehouse does churn out some good food and drinks and with the backdrop of some great music, becomes a perfect place to catch up with your friends or family.
