A delivery only outlet located in Rajpur Extension Area, Chattarpur, The Cookshop has recently opened up its gates and is all set to offer some delicious North Indian, Chinese and African delicacies.

A few days back I got to devour their food which arrived in the form of neatly packaged North Indian and Chinese thalis that were filled with delicious goodies that looked sinfully appetising. The Chinese thali consisted of egg rice, vegetable Hakka noodles, chilli chicken, chilli paneer and tandoori momos. The tandoori chicken momos, unlike other places offering tandoori momos, were actually skewered and cooked in a tandoor, rendering a beautiful smoky flavour. The chilli chicken and chilli paneer, both tasted good in their own decided decadence. However, I would opt for their North Indian thali, that consisted of moist and fragrant chicken biryani, flavour-packed khadai chicken, masaledaar soya chaap along with laccha parantha and butter naan. Each thali was good enough to feed a hungry soul and given the pricing, it is nothing but a steal deal.

Confession: While I fairly enjoyed both the Thalis, the only thing that I missed, at least in the North Indian thali, was the dessert. I hope that they add that in the thali, in order to make the Thali a complete meal that would end on a sweet note. Next time I order, I will try something from the African menu along with the chicken biryani, which I will order for sure.
