You come back home after a monotonous day at work and you’re hungry or tired or both. Cooking isn’t your forte and you crave for some hearty Indian food. That’s when this newly opened delivery-only outlet will come to rescue to fly your hunger pangs away.
The Last Mughal, as the name itself would suggest, is an outlet based out of Shahpur Jat, that is delivering hot and fresh Mughlai and North Indian delicacies to your doorstep, from 7 in the evening, till 3 in the morning.
Their menu will surely satisfy all your Indian food cravings and comprises of a great selection of kebabs, some hearty Indian curries and dals, along with the quintessential biryanis and breads.
Even though their menu is well balanced with vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, I stuck to a few non-vegetarian delicacies to devour for dinner a few days back. Hence, I ended up order a portion of mutton galauti kebabs and mutton seekh kebabs. While I enjoyed the melt-in-mouth galauti kebabs, I would anyday pick their smokey seekh kebabs, that went well with the green chutney that came along.
The kadhai chicken was replete with flavours and spices, and can be made better if the quantity of the gravy is increased a bit, as given the big chunks of chicken, the gravy appeared to be less. The roganjosh had tender morsels of mutton that were demolished with some hot naan.
Masala murg biryani sounded appetising and hence, had my expectations go up. Fortunately, it lived upto it. Aromatic biryani with pieces of moist chicken, topped with some gravy, made it a great dish, but I will advise them to pair it with some mirchi ka salan or raita, just to take it up a notch.
Confession: Overall, my dinner from The Last Mughal turned out to be great. Neat packaging, timely delivery and good food, make The Last Mughal a great option to get some wholesome food delivered at your doorstep, at a price that wouldn’t burn a hole in your pocket.
